Located among the endless green mountains and fresh terraced fields of Quang Nam province, My Son is famous as one of Vietnams leading cultural heritages. With more than 70 Hindu architectural works of the Cham people from the 4th to the 14th centuries, My Son is not only an open-air museum of ancient Cham culture but also a symbol of magic and style and the richness of Vietnamese history.
My Son Sanctuary dates back to around the 4th century, under the reign of King Pham Ho Dat, and is a place used to worship Linga and Shiva. After the next two centuries, the temple burned down in a great fire. And in the 7th century, King Pham Phan Chi rebuilt the temples-relics that still exist today.
